Handicaps
  1. A handicap is necessary for all adult participants. At least three cards must be entered to establish a handicap. If you do not have an established handicap, you will be assigned a zero. Maximum handicap for matches is 20.
  2. Put all score cards in the box by the 9th green with full name and date.
  3. In competitions strokes given are 2/3 the difference in handicap. For the Moore Trophy (married couples) strokes will be 2/3rds of half the difference of combined handicaps.
e.g.
Couple A  10 + 20 = 30
Couple B    6 + 12 = 18
Divide difference of 12 by half = 6
2/3 x 6  = 4
Couple B gives 4 strokes to Couple A
Use the women’s handicap holes.

Junior Competitions
All junior competitions will be played without handicaps. The red tees are used except for the Boys 12-14 and 15-17 where white tees are used.

Parent Child Competitions
Strokes will be given based on 2/3rds of the difference of half the adults’ handicaps. Use the women’s handicap holes.

Equitable Stroke Control
Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is the downward adjustment of individual hole scores made by the Committee for handicap purposes in order to make Handicaps more representative of a player's potential scoring ability. It sets a maximum number that a golfer can have on any hole depending on the player's Course Handicap.

9-Hole Course Handicap:  Maximum Number On Any Hole
4 or less:    2 over par
5-9:        maximum 7
10-14:    maximum 8
15-19:     maximum 9
20:         maximum 10
