Kids
Families live at their cottage all summer - so kids enjoy a summer camp experience. It is a kid's dream fulfilled. Cedar Springs is a magical place with nice, friendly and caring people. It is a safe place for your kids.
During July and August, Monday morning starts with Junior Golf instruction and kids only on the golf course. Monday night is Ball Sports on the baseball field. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning has Kid's Club for the younger children and Discovery Camp for the older set. Wednesday night is kids' Movie Night at the Clubhouse. Saturday morning is Tennis Instruction at the tennis courts. Kids attend all the Saturday night parties at the Clubhouse and sometimes there are special kid events like a Magic Show or Talent Show.
Once a summer kids also enjoy Halloween, dressed up and trick-or-treating in decorated golf carts. There is a night golf glow-ball tournament for teens. Kids raise money for an annual field trip with bottle drive and golf cart washing events.
Sports play a large role in a kid's summer. The annual Sports Day during the August long weekend is an all-day track and field and aquatics competition. An annual Tennis Day has kids competing in singles tennis, from the age when they can hold a racquet. The better under 18 years of age golfers compete in an annual Stroke Play Tournament. Kids compete in a Match Play tournament throughout the summer to determine a champion for each age group. A parent/child two-ball foursome trophy is even up for grabs. See Golf Competitions.
And then there are the many unscheduled activities and pastimes in which kids may engage. Rafting on Twelve Mile Creek. Fishing in the trout streams. Mountain biking on the woodland trails. Hanging out at the look-out on the old ski hill. But mostly just chilling at the beach, swimming and getting up to antics in the pool.
